Endodontics

Endodontics is the part of dentistry witch handles with the diagnostic and treatment of the disease of the dental pulp. The dental pulp is the soft tissue inside the tooth.

When the pulp shows an irreversible inflammation, which often is due to deep caries, trauma, dental fractures or cracks, or some mechanical and thermal injuries (unexpected grinding teeth) resorting to endodontic treatment.
Symptoms of dental inflammation are varied: sharp pain at cold or hot stimuli, throbbing or radiated pain, tooth discoloration, abscesses, fistulas or it may be asymptomatic and is discovered accidentally in a routine dental checkup and radiological investigation.
